Dolores “Peg” Gertrude Sanders
Her spirit left peacefully on March 12, 2016, at 9 a.m. from a nursing home in Santa Rosa, CA. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, October 11, 1920.
She was one of 8 children of Gertrude Mae Stark and Adolf Stark.  She attended High School in Chicago. She met her future husband, Michael Joseph Krunic, at a dance and married in 1937. She loved to dance, play sports and raise her 3 children.
The family moved to Denver, Colorado in 1940. She worked at Gates Rubber Co. making fan belts and got raises because of her productivity. She also worked as a floor manager for Woolrich Department Store.
In 1952 the family moved to Long Beach in Southern CA. In 1970 she married Robert David Sanders, moved to Fountain Valley, CA. and retired several years later from her work as front office manager for Dr. Carl Brossia. She loved children and volunteered to help at a pre-school in Fountain Valley.
In November of 1999, she moved to Cloverdale with her daughter Jan Krunic. She was very involved with the Cloverdale Senior Center as a volunteer and member. She loved to play pinochle and participate in Senior Center activities. She met many friends through the Senior Center, they called her “mom.” She always loved music and dancing. She was a very loving, giving soul with a great sense of humor. She was a joy to be around and lots of fun.
Dolores was preceded in death by Michael Joseph Krunic, Robert David Sanders, and her son Michael Norman Krunic. She is survived by her daughters Janice Vee Krunic, Gladys Mae Jackson, 3 grandchildren, 5 great grand children and as she called, many “good friends.”
 Beth Clady  
Beth Clady, 56, a long-time resident of Sonoma County went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, Feb. 29, 2016 in Healdsburg, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on Sept. 7, 1959 and moved to Cloverdale five years ago with the love of her life, her husband Tom.
She loved to garden, cook and spend time in the outdoors.  She enjoyed long walks with her husband and her dog Sarge. She enjoyed serving others through the Cloverdale Food Pantry. She loved Jesus Christ and singing praise in worship to Him at her church, Living Water Church (First Baptist Church) of Cloverdale. She was a kind and loving person that always looked to the needs of others. She was known to be a very hard worker and always gave 100% of herself in whatever she did. She is survived by her husband Tom, daughter Zina (Gary), son Marvin (Jessica), dad Bill, sisters – Deb, Diana, Crystal, and Denise, brother Jeff, her grandchildren and nieces and nephews, long-time friends Mica and Zack Gifford and Suzi Briski.    
Beth will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.  A memorial service celebrating Beth’s life will be held at Living Water Church (First Baptist Church) of Cloverdale, 450 S. Franklin Street, on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. Friends are invited to join the family to celebrate Beth’s life. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the ministry of her church Living Water Church, PO Box 447, Cloverdale, CA 95425.
Bernard Kenneth Whittaker  
California native son Bernard Kenneth Whittaker, son of Bernard Ashley Whittaker and Muriel Louisa McGregor Whittaker, passed on March 4, 2016 at his ranch in Manton, California.
A Karuk tribe member, Ken was born in Yreka on October  7, 1934. Ken was raised in Hopland where he was a basketball star and a two time Mendocino county champion miler. After serving in the navy as a seaman and trumpeter, Ken started his 30 plus year career with the University of California working at the Hopland Field Station.
A long term resident of Cloverdale and active in the community, Ken was president of the Jaycees, a Grand Poobah of the Druids and a baseball and softball coach. He started a second career as a hunting guide and led hunts for over 35 years on many local ranches until the age of 75.
Ken was a devoted volunteer for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife for the past four years.  Ken is survived by: His wife Adrian Whittaker, His children and spouses of his children Gary Whittaker (Eileen), Ron Whittaker (Rhonda) Yvonne Lozinto (Harry), The mother of his children Jane Beaufort Fazil, His brother Raymond Whittaker, His grandchildren Shelby, Kylee, Carly, Michael, Ryan, His step children Ray Strain, Romy Watts and Joshua Strain.  
The Whittaker family is grateful to Crawford Cooley and the Cooley Ranch  and to Marshall Hendren for his 40 plus year friendship and hunting relationship with Ken that helped to make this spectacular life possible. A celebration of life will be held on March 18, 2016 at 2 p.m., at 525 Geysers Rd., Cloverdale, CA.
