Nora Matilda Griffin, 91, of Sebastopol, died on Feb. 28. She
was mother of Adrian Griffin and his wife Kathy Rodrigues, Brad
Griffin, Corlis Green, Delmer Griffin and Eldon Griffin and his
wife Jean. Nora is also survived by her grandchildren Jason
Griffin, Julé Taylor, Rodney Griffin, Jennie Nora Howell, Peter
Mathew Green, Loren Haldis Green, Sonja Harris, Krista Allen, Jason
Taylor and Mike Rodrigues, 12 great grandchildren, numerous nieces
and nephews and countless friends. Nora was born at Lake Park, MN
and moved to San Francisco in 1943. She worked as a lead
sandblaster on the Navy ships at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard
during World War II. In 1959, she and her family moved to
Sebastopol where she worked at various chicken ranches and apple
factories until 1965.
Nora then obtained her nurse’s assistant certification at Santa
Rosa Junior College while being employed at Gravenstein
Convalescent Hospital for 18 years. Donations may be made to the
