Nora Elizabeth Witter died July 7, 2008, surrounded by family at
Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
She is counted as one of the founding members of St. Stephen’s
Episcopal Church in Sebastopol and a dedicated member of the
Episcopal Church of the Incarnation in Santa Rosa, where she
devoted herself to many roles, including a member of the Tudor Rose
Players.
Witter married Henry Martin Witter in 1937. She is preceded in
death by her husband and by brothers, Eddie and Steve Eaton. She is
survived by her sister, Frances of La Jolla, CA., sons Henry
(Marsha) Witter, Jr. of New Orleans, LA., Michael (MaryAnn) Witter
of Dacre Banks, England, and John (Linda) Witter of Sebastopol;
daughters, Mary (Kathleen Valim) Witter of Glen Ellen and Jane
(Craig) Levoroni of Santa Rosa grandchildren, Deanna, Kimberly,
Dwight, Dwayne, Laurie, Rick, Tanya, Robert and Julie and 10 great
grandchildren.
 Open visitation is offered at Eggen & Lance Chapel, 1540
Mendocino Ave., Santa Rosa on Thursday, July 17, 2008 from 1 to 8
p.m. The family invites the community to a Memorial and Communion
in her honor at the Church of the Incarnation, 550 Mendocino Ave.,
Santa Rosa on Friday, July 18 at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow
in Farlander Hall. Donations may be made in Nora’s memory to the
