August 3, 1956 – May 4, 2018
Nicholas (Nick) Uribe passed away unexpectedly on May 4, 2018 in Cloverdale. Nick was born August 3, 1956 in San Francisco. His family moved to Rohnert Park where he spent his early childhood years. After a few years in Santa Rosa, Nick settled in Sebastopol. This is where he raised his three daughters, Amber Wilder, Emma Uribe and Molly Uribe, the joys of his life. The last 12 years Nick and Laura lived in Cloverdale. For 4 years they owned and operated Yogurtdale Blvd. Nick really enjoyed serving the kids and families a treat that put smiles on their faces.
Nick worked as a master tile setter for more than 30 years. In his spare time he loved watching sports and was an avid bay area sports fan, especially a fan of the S.F. Giants. He played softball and soccer for many years and met Laura playing coed soccer. Nick looked forward to our families’ annual Lake Pillsbury trip and camping with his Vintage trailer friends. We will remember Nick as a kind, caring, hardworking man who had an encyclopedia memory and quick wit.
In addition to his daughters, he is survived by his loving wife Laura Waterhouse, his mother Denise Briand, his brother Michael Feeney (Tina), stepdaughter Jaime Creeth (Barton), stepson J.J. Hammond (Andrea) grandsons Everett and Callum, nephews, nieces and best friend and cousin Michael Keith Feeney.
Family and Friends will gather on Saturday, June 2, 2018 for a celebration of Nick’s life. Details to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the UCSF Memory and Aging Center, 1500 Owens St., Suite 320, San Francisco, CA 94158. This is where Nick and Laura participated in research study projects for neurodegenerative diseases.
