There’s a new childcare option at the Healdsburg Community Center for parents looking to drop off their infants, toddlers and preschoolers on weekdays: an outpost of the Sonoma County branch of the YWCA, or Young Women’s Christian Association. (An international org that was founded on Christian values in the mid-1800s but is no longer religious.)
This is the sixth childcare center that YWCA has opened in Sonoma County, and the first for infants, according to the org’s website. The cost of the program isn’t listed, but it does look like there are some state funding options available for eligible families.
Here’s some more info from the City of Healdsburg:
The center offers year-round care, Monday through Friday, from 7:30am to 5:30pm, with half-day options available from 9am to 12pm.
- Nurturing Environment: They provide a positive and supportive space where your child can thrive.
- Experienced Staff: Their teachers are Pyramid-trained and hold California Department of Education credentials.
- Holistic Development: They offer a curriculum that blends traditional learning with a strong focus on bilingual skill development.
- Small Class Sizes: Their student-to-teacher ratio ensures personalized attention for each child.
