Work on 21st annual festival for next spring already in progress
Healdsburg Jazz has announced the appointment of three new members of its board of directors.
Joining the Board are Mark McMullen, Gayle Okumura Sullivan and Kathy Taylor. “All three new members bring extensive business and marketing talent and expertise to Healdsburg Jazz. We are very fortunate to have them by our side as we continue to strengthen and grow the organization,” said Gina Riner, executive director.
McMullen is a small business and computer consultant with a 20-year practice in Sonoma County. Previously, he served on two nonprofit arts boards.
Okumura Sullivan is the co-owner of Dry Creek Peach & Produce in Healdsburg. She directed marketing for a range of technology firms, including startups, and also worked with LINES Ballet.
Taylor has a 20-year background in executive recruitment for Silicon Valley startups and serves on the board of directors for Upwardly Global in San Francisco.
With a mission to advance jazz, America’s indigenous art form, Healdsburg Jazz offers year-round jazz performance, including an annual festival and music education programs to elementary and middle schools in Healdsburg and Geyserville as well as Sonoma County high schools.
