Word has been received of the recent death of Michael Nettleton,
a veteran of the Vietnam War and a skilled woodworker and a man
with many interests. He died after a long bout with cancer.
He was a founder of the Sonoma Men’Äôs Group as his quest for
spiritual fulfillment was an important part of his life. He was
involved in psychic and intuitive work and clairvoyance
training.
Tettleton was originally from Crescent City and more recently
had lived on the big island of Hawaii, and in western Sonoma
County.
Nettleton was primarily known locally as a skilled woodworker
and master craftsman; however he had many other skills and
interests. He was a trained horticulturist and gardener. He was an
avid fisherman, and spent many vacations on the wild rivers of
Northern California.
Tettleton is survived by his two brothers, Gene Nettleton and
Jim Crooker, his sister Sylvia Svoboda, nephews Shawn, Michael,
Jason, Jeffrey and James Nettleton, and niece Karly Calland.
There will be a celebration of Nettleton’Äôs life at 1 p.m. on
Sunday, Feb. 24, at Anderson Hall (101 Lakeside Road) in Camp
Meeker.
