Sebastopol resident Michael S. Cristaldi, 81, died on Dec. 11.
Born in Guttenberg, New Jersey to Sicilian immigrants, he served in
the Navy in World War II and later in the Merchant Marines. In 1953
he bought a home in Sebastopol and traveled the world. After
leaving the Merchant Marines, he worked for 20 years in
constructing, tending bar, as a commercial fisherman and a parking
attendant for the city of Santa Rosa. He spent the last few years
riding his scooter around Sebastopol.
He is survived by his brothers, Pat Cristaldi and Tom Cristaldi
and his nephew Michael Cristaldi, all of New Jersey.
