Maxine French Wynn, 90, of Healdsburg, died peacefully on
December 11. Mrs. Wynn was born to Mabel and Walter Houston in
Republic, Washington, on November 30, 1913. She grew up and
attended schools in San Francisco. She met and married Donald
French in 1938. They resided in San Bruno and Saratoga until his
death in 1967. In 1977, Maxine married her good friend, Gerald
(Jerry) Wynn in Saratoga. She was active in the Y.L.I., Montalvo
Service League, Foothill Club, and Sacred Heart Church in Saratoga.
She enjoyed traveling, playing Bridge, and spending time with her
loving extended family. She is survived by her two daughters,
Gloria French of Healdsburg, and Laurel Gross of Nevada City,
sister, Gloria Adams of San Francisco, seven granddaughters, five
great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by her husbands Donald French and Gerald Wynn.
She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Services will
be held at Sacred Heart Church in Saratoga on December 22, 2003 at
11 am, with burial at Madronia Cemetery, Saratoga. If friends wish,
