Maximae Harper-Yeager died at home in Santa Rosa on Dec. 27,
2007. She was 87. She was the wife of the late Herbert C. Yeager.
She is survived by her children Maxie Ann Harper, Palo Alto,
William J. Harper, Oakley, CA; grandchildren: Heather and Robert
Harper, both of San Ramon; sister Betty Volkman, San Carlos;
nephews: Stan Clark (Melissa), Santa Rosa, Ron Clark (Melody),
Forestville; grand-nieces: Lauren Clark and Emily Clark;
stepdaughters: Linda Brodnansky, Lakeport and Sherry Cagle (Ron),
Santa Rosa; step grandchildren: Derek Brodnansky (Becky) and Darin
Brodnansky (Julie), both of Lakeport, Drue Mordecai of Windsor; and
by seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister,
Ruth Clark, step son-in-law Steve Brodnansky, and stepgranddaughter
Melinda McCallum.
A native of California, she was born July 6, 1920. Maximae was a
Marin and Sonoma County resident all her life. She was a member of
Order of Eastern Star, a volunteer for many years in senior, civic,
and child groups, and a member of the California Retired Teachers
Association. Harper-Yeager was an alumni of SFSU, she was very
proud of her 30-year San Francisco teaching career.
A Memorial Service is being held Sunday Jan. 27, 2008 at 1 p.m.
at New Vintage Church, 3300 Sonoma Ave., Santa Rosa, Ca 95405. In
lieu of flowers please make donations to: Santa Rosa Scottish Rite
– Child Language Center, 600 Acacia Lane, Santa Rosa, CA 95409 or
to the charity of your choice. Private burial at Santa Rosa
Memorial Park.
