Mary Margaret &#8220Margeā€ Hoffman died on Wednesday, Oct.
10, 2007 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by her husband, Buck
Hoffman in 1995 and her youngest daughter, Mary Oliver this past
June. Hoffman is survived by her daughter Susan and grandson Wayne,
granddaughter Amy (Mary’s daughter), grandson-in-law Tripp, and
great-grandchildren Ryan, Casey and Emily.
Hoffman was born in Tuolumne, CA. on August 29, 1913. She lived
there until the age of 19 when she left the area and headed to the
San Francisco Bay Area to be a hair dresser, a profession she
stayed in for about 60 years.
She married in 1933 and raised two daughters in Milbrae, CA.
before retiring to Sonoma County about 25 years ago. She was very
active up until the past year and continued to do hair cutting and
styles at local convalescent hospitals until she was in her
80s.
Hoffman was active at her church working in the nursery and
participated in her Autumn Leaves group. She enjoyed her garden and
had a very green thumb. She also adored her great-grandchildren and
was able to visit them often in Vancouver, WA.
A memorial service for Hoffman will be held Thursday November 1,
2007 at 11 a.m. at Sebastopol Christian Church. Donations may be
made to Sutter VNA and Hospice (who took care of her until the
end.)
