Intelligent, kind, generous and just
Carl N. Dahl, beloved husband, father and friend, died in
Sacramento of lung cancer on Sept. 15, 2006.
A decent, honorable man, Carl, born in Santa Rosa on December
11, 1935, served in the U. S. Army for two years. He then graduated
from University of Nevada, Reno and Golden Gate University.
His wife of 43 years, Julie Dahl, sons John Dahl and Mark Dahl
never doubted his love for them and admired beyond measure Carl’s
intelligence, kindness, generous nature and life-long dedication to
doing the right thing.
Carl was a Medical Information Administrator for Kaiser, San
Rafael, and Sonoma Valley Hospital. The family lived in Sebastopol
and Santa Rosa for more than 20 years.
Carl was a Cub Pack Master when no else would step up, a soccer
coach, soccer referee, avid reader, car buff and staunch supporter
of his sons and wife in all their endeavors.
He leaves behind his adoring family, two grandsons – Brian and
Jack (John’s sons), and a host of relatives and friends who loved
him, his wit, encyclopedic knowledge of almost everything, his
kindness and good advice.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5, from
noon to 3 p.m. at the Arden Park Club House in Sacramento. People
who are interested in coming should contact a family member for
