Margaret &#8220Peggy” Tracy Heald died on June 9, 2007, the
day of her beloved husband’s (Alvin &#8220Joe” Heald) funeral.
She had been working hard to fight the battle of breast cancer. It
was only fitting that she gave up the battle on Joe’s memorial day.
Peggy was born on May 2, 1932 in Tacoma, WA. She and her six
siblings spent most of their lives in California, in the towns of
Cloverdale, Sebastopol, Santa Rosa and Windsor. At the age of 17,
she met and married Robert Passot on April 16, 1949. They had three
children, Robert, Michael and Terry Passot. While her children were
in elementary school in Windsor, Peggy was very involved in the PTA
and became president. In 1961, Robert and Peggy parted ways. She
soon gained employment with Sonoma Mortgage Company, which was
owned and operated by Henry Trione. The company changed names many
times before her retirement. In 1978, Peggy was reacquainted with
an old friend from her children’s Cub Scout and Little League days,
Alvin &#8220Joe” Heald. They fell in love and married. Their
life together and the love they shared was embraced by all who were
fortunate enough to cross their paths. She lived a loving and full
life with Joe – camping, fishing, traveling and they enjoyed each
others’ love until their passing. Peggy is survived by her devoted
children, Robert Paul Passot Jr., Michael John Passot, Teresa Lea
Passot West and Mark Sydney Heald; her brother Robert Tracy, her
sister Judy Corum; 15 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and
two on the way. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Peggy’s
life on Saturday, July 7 at 11 a.m. at the Shiloh District
Cemetery, Shiloh and Windsor Roads, Windsor. Our dad Joe loved
seeing Peggy in red and commented lovingly each time she wore red.
Please wear red or bring a red rose in their honor. If desired,
donations in her name may be made to the Council On Aging, Meals On
Wheels Program, 730 Bennett Valley Rd., Santa Rosa, 95404.
