Editor: The joy of giving and the excitement of receiving were
apparent on the eve of Thanksgiving, when Michael Matson from
Vintage Valley Catering and his crew prepared and delivered an
abundant meal for local people who are struggling to get through
the winter. Thirty families and 60 individuals took home turkeys
and hams and all the extras that make up a traditional Thanksgiving
dinner. Will Seppi from Costeaux Bakery provided pumpkin pies and
dinner rolls. Martha from CHDC organized the distribution which
went smoothly and quickly. Acknowledging the generosity of all the
people who participated in this event brings joy and thankfulness
to my heart.
