Services for Madeline Boutte Lanza, 71, were held at 11 a.m.
today at David Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Guidry
officiating.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Lanza died at 10:28
p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at her residence.
She is survived by three sons, James Craig and Robert “Bob”
Lanza, both of New Iberia, and William Luke Lanza of Lafayette; two
daughters, Susan Lanza Breaux and Nicki Lanza LaBauve, both of New
Iberia; three brothers, Alvin Boutte of Lafayette, Lester Boutte of
Lydia, and Wilson Boutte of Abbeville; four sisters, Mae Bernard
and Eunice Bridges, both of Lafayette, Nadine Duplantis of
Loreauville, and Lilly Terrell of New Iberia; her grandchildren,
Angela Breaux of New York, N.Y., David “Chip” Breaux II, Chris and
Matthew LaBauve, Andrew and Phillip Lanza, and Stacy Melton, all of
New Iberia, and Leslie Lanza of Lafayette; and two
great-grandchildren, Michael Melton Jr. and Trey Melton, both of
New Iberia.
Mrs. Lanza was preceded in death by her parents, Rudson and
Louise Sinitiere Boutte; her brother, Norman Boutte Sr.; and two
sisters, Louella Black and Pearl Guilbeau.
Pallbearers were David “Chip” Breaux II, David Breaux Sr., Tony
LaBauve, and Craig, Robert “Bob” and William Lanza.
Honorary pallbearers were Chris and Matthew LaBauve, Andrew
Lanza and Michael Melton.
David Funeral Home, Trotter Street of New Iberia, was in charge
of arrangements.
