Louise Katrina (Bigelow) Burr passed away from complications of
pneumonia on Monday Nov. 19, 2007 at the age of 91. Born to Budd
and Annie Bigelow in Whiting, Iowa. At the age of six months, her
family moved to Waldron, AR where she lived until her marriage to
Glen Burr in 1942. They settled in California, living in San
Francisco until moving to Windsor in 1952. She was the dearly
beloved wife of Glen Burr, the love of her life who passed away in
2005. She was the beloved mother of Phyllis Miller (Gary) of
Eureka, Glenda Swenston (Jim Kelly) of Windsor, Marilyn Byrne (Ray)
of Santa Rosa and Jeannie Brown (Scott) of Windsor; preceded in
death by her daughter Nancy Williamson in 2002, and her two
brothers and three sisters; she was Nana to twelve and great
grandmother to eighteen. Our mother was one of the most honest
people you could ever meet. We loved and admired her for the person
she was. She was sharp as a tack to the very end. Family was the
most important thing to her; she was the glue that held our family
together. The family would like to thank Dr. Glodowski and his
nurse Karen for the loving care of their mother through the years;
and Dr. Delorfice and the wonderful staff at Palliative Care for
the loving care she received. Friends were invited to attend a
Memorial Service on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, 11 a.m. at Vertical
Call Church, 920 Bennett Valley Rd, Santa Rosa, Pastor Steve Puleo
officiating. Visitation was held on Friday, Nov. 23, 2007 from 4 -8
p.m. at Daniels Chapel of the Roses, 1225 Sonoma Ave, Santa Rosa.
Graveside Services were held on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at 1
p.m. at Shiloh District Cemetery, Windsor.
