Born in Italy, he was raised and educated in Sebastopol where he
has been a resident for almost a century. Lou was a member of
Y.M.I., the Sebastopol Fire Deptartment, and the Seniors Autumn
Club. He worked as an apple farmer on the family ranch his whole
life, retiring in 1982. Lou loved to bowl and continued bowling
into his 90s. He grew up on the family ranch on what was to become
Germone Road where he resided with his wife Olga Poli for 41 years.
Lou is survived by his wife of 62 years, Olga Germone, twin sons,
Ronald Germone and Robert Germone and his wife, Nancy, his
daughter, Denise Sloan, his brother Roy Germone, his sister Anita
Corsi, eight grandchildren, eight great grand-children, his nieces
Judy Monroe and Delene Cleek, his close friend Phil Wyatt and many
other family and friends. A memorial mass will be held today, Jan.
8 at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian’s Church. Donations in his memory may
be made to Palm Drive Hospital.
