Sebastopol council reviewing SPD audit on June 17
The Sebastopol City Council is holding a special meeting to receive a presentation about the city’s independent review of the Sebastopol Police Department (SPD), conducted by Jerry Threet, the retired director and founder of the Sonoma County Independent Office of Law Enforcement Review & Outreach (IOLERO). Per the report provided to the city, Threet specializes in reviewing police practices and the civilian oversight of law enforcement.
Young songwriters, musicians take top spots in Sebastopol youth talent show
Instead of getting the “show on the road” and performing in-person this year for the Sebastopol Community Cultural Center Youth Talent Show, talented locals brought the show to the online sphere of YouTube. In the last three years, the Healdsburg Police Department Dispatch Center successfully answered at least 95% of its incoming calls within 15 seconds, according to a new dispatch center data report released last month.
