West County teams piling up wins
Local Little Leaguers are in hot pursuit of a District-35 title in double-elimination All-Star tournaments at various venues around Sonoma County this week, with the West County fielding a total of seven teams from Sebastopol and El Molino.   
Below are results from those tournaments, along with rosters for each team.  
Junior
The Junior District 35 tourney opened with a local flavor on July 2, as Sebastopol defeated El Molino 6-4. Both teams won their games the next day, as El Mo beat Cloverdale 18-4, while Sebastopol clobbered Fort Bragg 10-2.  Play resumes on July 5 (after press time).  
The Sebastopol Junior team is guided by manager Jean Paul Merlaud and coaches Jim Brown and Matt Bazzano. The roster includes: Nick Wright, Preston Davis, Kaden Fox, William Stewart, Roman Krause, Garrett Slack, Lucas Morris, John Wurfel, Raven Hale, Logan Larsen, Alexander Leopard, and Kaija Bazzano.  
The El Molino Junior squad is led by manager Jason Romeo and coaches Sean Barron, and Victor Daniels. Players are; Patrick Atkinson, Shane Barron, Nathan Cook, Aaron Daniels, Lewis Griffith, Jordan Hamner, Sam Kenny, Weston Lewis,  Sam McMinimy, Chris Romeo, Cody Romeo, Andrew Tait, Dillon Urenia and Cole Van Stone.
 10-12
The SLL squad opened the tournament on July 2 with a 9-6 win over Santa Rosa, but fell 11-1 to Petaluma Valley on Sunday.  At press time the SLL was preparing for a July 5 meeting with Willits. El Molino opened up with a 27-0 loss Westside and will play Petaluma American on July 5.
The Sebastopol 12 year old squad is led by Manager Andy Kahn and coaches Brady Green and Ryan Meechan. Players are: Jake Fitch, Oliver Kindt, Theodore Stewart, Dawson Drew, Sebastian Meechan, Devin O’Brien, Jackson Gerren, Alexander Kahn, Benjamin Sarner, Reid Olson, Owen White, Aaron Knuth and Meyer Feileaca.
The El Molino 10, 11, 12 All Stars are led by manager Rob Cantu and coaches Ken Crane and Nick Dimond. Players are: Soul Berna, Jaden Brady, Casshe Caldwell, Renzo Cantu, Ken Crane, Curby Dimond, Brohnson Groves, Ian Hocheder, Spencer Jones, Noah Kenny, Kobe Kynoch, Tucker Pacatte and Demetrius Salazar.
9-11
The Sebastopol stars opened the tournament on July 2 with an 8-6 win over Santa Rosa American, but weathered a 21-3 loss to Petaluma National the following day. The SLL resumes action on July 6.   
The SLL 11 year old All Stars are led by Manager Adam Dillon and coaches Lou Castleberry and Josh Long. Players include: Lucas Castleberry, Cooper Norris, Luke Dillon, Juan Pablo Luna, Henry Baggett, Steven Doody, Blake Bryson, Sammy Long, Gavin Reid, Calum Rutherfurd and Rylan Mancini.
8-10
Both local teams suffered a similar fate in their 8-10 All Star journey, as the SLL fell 13-3 to Santa Rosa, while the EMLL weathered a 17-1 setback to Westside. Sebastopol edged El Molino, 8-7 on July 2 to bounce them from the tournament, while the SLL squad was eliminated on Sunday in a tough, 11-10 loss to Santa Rosa.   
The Sebastopol 10 year old squad is led by manager Jarom Lewis and coaches Ron Slack and Don Stewart. Players are; Zacharry Muzio, Joseph Sinigiani, Toby Bush, Jake Lewis, Joshua Lewis, Elliot Meechan, Jonah Knuth, Benjamin Stewart, Emmett Gaberman, Marco Conti, Zachary Homan and Colton Slack.
The El Molino 8, 9, 10 All Star squad is guided by manager Drew Sheets and coaches Ron Franceschi and Justin Lewis. The roster consists of players: Callum Brown, Westley Bush, Cash Coogan, Malley Dyke, Solomon Hall, Aiden Halstead, Wade Lewis, Austin Ludeman, Ronan Sheets, Wade Stringfellow, Myles Texel,  Alonso Vera and Giovanni Visintin.
