Teams prepare for All-Star tournaments
The Little League season is winding down this week for local teams, as the Cloverdale Major Division Angels made a run at the Tournament of Champions title.  
At the TOC opener on June 22, the Angels triumphed over Willits in a score of 5 to 1 and took on Petaluma Valley the following night, falling to their competition with a final score of 15-5.
The TOC semi-finals is planned for Wednesday, June 24, and the TOC title game is scheduled for Thursday, June 25. Games are hosted by Rincon Valley Little League.  
The CLL Major Division Angels are led by manager Matt Lemley and players: Joshua Adams, Caden Axell, Logan Axell, Evan Gehres, Joshua Lemley, Diego Grandos, Anthonie Rebottaro, Tyler Ruys, Cole Timmer, Matt Velluntini, Justin Webb and David Alvarez.  
All Star teams chosen
The Cloverdale Little League will be represented in three divisions in the upcoming District-35 All-Star tournaments, including the 9/10s, 11/12s, and Juniors.
The Minors 9/10 squad will open All-Star play against Redwood-Willits on July 1 at Healdsburg (5:30 p.m.).
The team is led by manager Phil Ammirati and coaches Justin Cavallo, and Ian Jones. The team consists of players Audie Hanes, Ayal Fichtelberg, Caden Axell, Casey Lemley, Diesel Cavallo, Dominic Vellutini, Dylan Jones, Emilio Diaz, Jeadon Toninato, Kolby Jenkins, Madison Ammirati, Travis Wedge and James Pope.
The Majors 11/12 team will open the District-35 All-Star tourney in Ukiah on July 2 with Willits (5:30 p.m.).
The squad is guided by manager Matt Lemley, coaches Charlie Delfino, and Chad Wlodarczyk, and players: David Alvarez, Logan Axell, Deigo Grandos, Jesus Ceja, FJ Freenor, Evan Gehres, Mateo LaCampagne, Joshua Lemley, Anthonie Rebottaro, Tyler Ruys, Daniel Sullivan, Matt Vellutini and Gabe Wlodarczyk.
The CLL Junior All-Stars were prepping for a July 8 opener against host El Molino (5:30 p.m.). At press time, there was no roster available.
