Lions, Tigers set for NBL cross country championships

League finals are Friday at Spring Lake in Santa Rosa
Performance will meet opportunity this Friday, Nov. 9, when Analy and El Molino cross country teams toe the starting line at the North Bay League Redwood Division Championships.
The meet will be held on the classic 3.01-mile Spring Lake course in Santa Rosa, with the first race set to go off at 2 p.m.
The NBL meet signals the start of the all-important post-season meets, with the North Coast Section Championships slated for Saturday, Nov. 17, in Hayward.
The CIF State Championships will be held at Woodward Park in Fresno on Nov. 24.
Teams finish league schedules  
On Oct. 31, both teams put the wraps on their respective regular season meet schedules as the Tigers squared off against visiting Windsor in a battle of unbeatens, while the Lions traveled to Elsie Allen.
The Lions easily defeated the Lobos in each race, while the Tigers swept the JV meet but were out-pointed in the varsity competition.
