Teams enjoy great showing at Riverfront Park
El Molino played host to visiting Analy in the much-anticipated Sonoma County League cross country opener on Oct. 4, with the teams gaining an even split in the varsity races.
The Lions claimed victory in the varsity boys race with a team score of 21-35, while the Tigers scored a 25-36 win for the varsity girls.
Analy’s Alec Dierke was the top individual finisher for the boys, crossing the line in a fast 14:35.  He was followed in order by El Molino runners Jake Chauvin (15:08), Eric Riordan (15:21), Cassius Phillips (15:25) and Spencer Honner.
Rounding out the top 12 varsity boys were Analy’s Jack Reynolds (16:19), El Mo’s Grant Feige (16:20) and Jackson Conger (16:24), Analy’s Dominic Restivo (16:33) and Clayton Christensen (16:37), El Mo’s Quinn Ingrassia (16:52) and Analy’s Clayton Nelson (17:08).   
Capturing first place in the varsity girls race was El Molino’s Evelin Ramirez (17:38), followed closely by sister Jackie Ramirez (17:51). Rounding out the top 12 varsity girls were Analy’s Aquielle Nelson (17:52), Grace Moussa (18:40), Claire Nelson (19:04), Juliet Capriola (19:46), Amy Melman (19:53), Sierra Stewart (20:03) and Kennedy Parish (20:07), and El Molino’s Jeanne Bloom (20:16), Catherine Martin (20:20) and Grace Knighton (21:06).
Analy, led by race winner Connor Madson (16:33) took top honors in the JV boys competition, followed by top five runners Dominic Goff (EM, 16:34), Jimmy Carreras (Analy, 16:45), Mael Chevrolet (EM, 16:59) and Jacob Cibrian (EM, 17:07).
The Tigers also accounted for four of the top five runners in the JV girls race. Leading finishers included Analy’s Abby Erlandson (20:42), Chloe Parish (21:00), Jocelyn Alcocer (21:11) and Meredith Poten (21:23) and El Molino’s Justine Farley (21:48).
