Kincade Fire cancels cross country meets
The North Bay League cross country season was cut short due to the Kincade fire and evacuations last week, forcing the cancellations of the scheduled meets on Oct. 30. As a result, the teams will wrap up the NBL Redwood Division season at the NBL Championships at Spring Lake in Santa Rosa this Saturday, Nov. 9 (9 a.m.). The North Coast Section meet is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 16, at Hayward High School.
The Tigers (4-0) enter the NBL finals tied for first place with Windsor, while the Lions (2-2) will battle to secure third place among varsity boys.
On Oct. 23, El Molino played host to visiting Analy in the annual clash between rivals on the Lion’s revamped home course at Riverfront Park. Although both teams logged fast individual times, it was the Tigers’ overall talent and depth that ultimately won out in the team competition.
The Tigers completed a clean sweep in all races on the new, 2.85-mile course, with Analy’s Joey Thompson and Carolina Dawson establishing new course records.
Below are the complete results from the Analy-El Molino meet on Oct. 23.
