Thank you Mr.Music
Editor: This letter is to offer my grateful appreciation to Jim Corbett, aka Mr. Music, for producing the terrific, free Peacetown Music Series in Ives Park, four Wednesdays this summer.
Having lived here since 1974, to me it felt like going “back to the future”. The strong sense of community and love was reminiscent of those ‘70s days. The community turnout was large and the lineup of musicians was terrific (most with a long history in Sebastopol).
I encourage him to continue (and perhaps expand) this series next summer.
Thank you Jim, we loved it.

Electric success
Editor: Sebastopol’s first-ever EV (electric vehicle) Expo was an electrifying success.
Thank you, City of Sebastopol staff, for the extra mile of support — especially Mary Gourley (City), Dante Del Prete and Rich Emig (Public Works), Teresa Ramondo (Chamber of Commerce), Police Chief Jeff Weaver and staff, and Sebastopol Police Sergeant Mike Nielsen, who did a “show and tell” with Sebastopol’s official peace-keeping electric motorcycle.
We appreciate the more than 200 EV enthusiasts who came to last Saturday’s all-volunteer-no-dealer First Annual EV Expo, co-sponsored by Transition Sebastopol Energy Group and the North Bay Electric Auto Association.
And thanks to all the EV owners who generously spent the day with their electric vehicles, talking with a steady stream of interested Expo-goers.
Locals and visitors came to find out more — from real people with real EV experience – about the impressive array of over two dozen EVs on display.
Sonoma Clean Power and charging station advocates also shared info and support for reducing fossil fuels and increasing the use of the sun’s energy.
It was a great day on behalf of a healthy, resilient community and renewable sources of energy. And the variety of vehicles was inspiring. Thanks, everyone.
