Single file
Editor: I’m confused. With more and more bicyclists on the road every day, why would the Trib post a picture of two riders, riding two abreast. Nice picture, yet it represents a false image of the relaxed roadways in our neck of the woods. We all share the road, so let’s create a model of single file cycling. I’m tired of having drivers headed toward me, in my lane, as they try to pass cyclists riding irresponsibly.

Huge success
Editor: A big thank you to Mr. Sal Arreguin for continuing to host the delicious and very well attended Sal and Donna Arreguin Wild Hog Dinner held at their beautiful home on Westside Road, Healdsburg among the vineyards on Saturday, July 26. Â
This very successful fund raiser was held for the benefit of the Junior High and Youth Wrestling programs and Healdsburg High School. It was exciting to see an entire pig cooked whole. Â
Everyone enjoyed a full dinner, including unlimited freshly cooked wild pork, Spanish rice, beans, hors d’oeuvre of cheese filled peppers and many delicious salads. On the shaded deck and throughout the beautifully landscaped yard, complete with waterfall and pool, were comfortable and attractively decorated tables and chairs for the large crowd. Many prominent local business people attended as well as wrestlers, high school students and their families, neighbors and friends.

Signs
Editor: Steven David Martin’s recent column about signs reminded me that Healdsburg sprouts signs on the weekend that often last longer than the garage/yard sales they advertise.
Since the putter-uppers often aren’t taker-downers would it work toward some kind of badge for Scouts to take down the signs? Maybe if the signs were returned to the putter-uppers, there would be a donation to the scouts.
One can only hope.
