Relay for Life of Windsor was held the weekend of July 18. A total of $74,600+ was raised. Cass Gleason, our Event Chair, did an outstanding job with this year’s event. Cass and her team did indeed make the event a “Carnival of Hope.” Thank you to a local Boy Scout troop who helped set up camp sites and then served as our Honor Guard. Thanks to all the volunteers and Relay teams who worked so hard to make this Relay a success. Relay participants would also like to thank our generous sponsors for their support. Special thanks, as always, to our wonderful Kiwanis Club. They arrive early on Sunday morning to provide a free breakfast for the weary walkers. They have been dubbed “breakfast angels.” Relay for Life is the premiere fundraising event for the American Cancer Society. Research for all cancers is provided by the American Cancer Society. On a personal note, I would like to thank the hard working members of the Unsinkable Life Saver team for all you do to help in this fight against cancer.
