Thank you Sebastopol
Editor: The Sebastopol Kiwanis Club would like to thank our community for supporting our 41st annual July 3rd Fireworks and Music Festival. It was heartwarming to see the thousands of families, couples and kids of all ages celebrating Independence Day together. That night, the true Spirit of Community not only permeated Analy High School Stadium, but also spilled over into the streets and yards of Sebastopol. Some estimate as many as 14,000 people participate in the enjoyment of this iconic celebration.
The success of our July 3rd Fireworks Festival would not be possible without the generous support of our scores of sponsors and the dedication of hundreds of volunteers. All of the net proceeds from July 3rd will be returned for the benefit of our community.
Plans for a major reconstruction of the Analy High School stadium are underway. The construction is reportedly to begin in the near future. Some concern has been voiced about the installation of artificial turf on the field and the possible end of major events, such as ours. We have been assured that the use of artificial turf will not jeopardize the use of the stadium for important community gatherings. Thanks go to the West County High School District Board and Superintendent for their thoughtful consideration of this issue.
With deep gratitude,
Rocky Camp and members of the Sebastopol Kiwanis Club
