Thanks Sebastopol
Editor: I’d like to provide a few public thank yous related to the Apple Blossom Parade.
• I’d like to thank the Chamber of Commerce for hosting this iconic Sebastopol event. It’s a huge undertaking they make seem effortless.
• I’d like to thank the 11 Sonoma County law enforcement agencies and the Sebastopol Fire Department for dedicating their staff to keeping the day safe.
• I’d like to thank the public for their patience and tolerance with the closure of our main roadways for over two hours.
• I’d like to thank everyone for having fun legally and safely. The Sebastopol Police Department did not make one arrest or issue one citation during the parade or at the festival.
Finally, I’d like to thank those who shared their appreciation and support for the Sebastopol Police Department as Captain James Conner and I walked the length of the parade route. While we happily receive those comments every year, it seems they were more frequent this year and, all things considered, they were greatly appreciated.
