Are you kidding me?
EDITOR: Are you kidding me!? “We never advertised as a no-wait emergency room,” Rogan said. This shouldn’t take too long. With a quick Google search of “Sonoma West Medical Center no wait ER,” this is what pops up on the FIRST page of results: Here’s a video explaining what a “No-Wait ER is by SWMC: (https://goo.gl/lwTS4w). Here’s one from the foundation’s own website: “SWMC has 16 single-bed patient rooms, 2 two-bed observation rooms, 5 ICU beds, 2 operating theatres, a 5-bed No Wait Emergency Department” (http://goo.gl/jMffut). Here’s an article from Feb. 25 in The Gazette titled “The Hospital That Would Be Healed — Sonoma West Medical Center’s “No Wait ER.” A re-opened ER that implements a proven “No Wait” model that strives for “5 minutes from door to doctor.” (http://goo.gl/zUMEjx). Here’s my favorite. Press Democrat article where they quote Ray Hino, CEO of SWMC, “This is one of the keys to the success of the no-wait ER” he said. (http://goo.gl/F5OeZT) So as a quick Google search reveals, SWMC is not in the business of helping people, but rather in the business of lying to people. Oh, and I suppose they are also in the business of boosting Dan Smith’s ego. I will continue to go to Santa Rosa for any ‘real’ emergencies, like I have for many years now.

Critical masterpiece
EDITOR: Michael Moore’s ironic and outstanding epic new film brilliantly synopsizes and reveals road maps of positive non-violent solutions, which are in fact not foreign to us. What is foreign and fleeting to us Americans these days is taking responsibility and unified action.
I went to see “Where to Invade Next” with a friend. It is a critical masterpiece of our time. This is the pragmatic manual we all have been needing, to put a fire under us; to stay informed, vote and move forward together. Learn from other countries. We have the answers and models!
Please make sure to see this film and spread the word!
Let us remember, as with Germany, etc. in the 1940s the citizenry was largely complacent, which further enabled the nazi’s to take over.
It’s not only up to who we elect because we know that’s totally rigged in this so called democracy…it’s up to us and requires us to get out of our comfort zones and take individual responsibility, working collectively.
We must stand up together, use our creativity and put a stop to this insanity.

Holding my nose
EDITOR: Of your editorial, “Of one soul”  — I heartily disagree. The celebration of Man largely to the exclusion of worship to God is lamentable. Recognize that this is the product of the enlightenment, which has proved to be anything but. The miserable expression of the “collective good” and oft proved race to the bottom is painted in mistakenly glowing terms, implying the common good which is quite another thing. Your liberal constituency hardly knows the difference.
Thank the Lord that my home remains an “unenlightened space” if you will. Yes, I discriminate. I do not knowingly invite in evil. To us conservatives “Diversity” is a dog whistle for depravity couched as normatively desirable by liberals. For some time now evil is allowed to be displayed in its pride with community approbation. The workings of the Interfaith Council bespeaks of false ecumenism.
Your history is woefully wrong. The “ancient” friendship between Muslims and Jews of which you write has often been under the threat of implied violence. All religions, save one, are false. In whole or part, they are either animistic, agnostic, atheistic, protestant, perfidious, obnoxious, simpishly quaint or downright evil.
Does one really think that the Lord God woke up one morning and said, “I think I got this Christ thing all wrong?” “Instead of turning the other cheek and calling for peace, I think I will send my prophet Mohammed to slay 3,000 Jews and some Christians in Medina and that will be a fantastic start to my new religion.” “Let Mohammad marry a 7-year-old girl, rape another 13-year-old girl.” It is all in their sacred documents. See the Koran and the Hadith (the violence therein being diametrically opposed to the New Testament) of which your average Muslim lacks familiarity. The peace Islam speaks about is reserved only for those within the system (socio, economic, military and political — it is not really a religion). As these are read, the violence is right there. Behead those that do no pay the Jizya (the tax levied upon the non-believer). Honor killings for those Muslims that renounce their faith under Sharia Law. Yet they deny these things on oath as pressed. They become radicalized. Wholesale parts of their sacred documents authorize and encourage lying and deception. And writers for centuries call Islam one of the three great monotheistic religions (great propaganda) as if to give it some validation. It is just not true.
When will western journalists wake up and report it for what it is. Check it out. Do some basic research. Fear keeps one from antagonizing. Yet it did not keep the Prophets’ minions slaughtering their way from Egypt through North Africa up into Spain to be hammered back by Charles Matrel in France, then much later to be decisively driven from Spain to Portugal. Centuries of aggression through Anatolia to the gates of Vienna to be driven back with the victory at the Battle of Lepanto.
And don’t speak to me of the Crusades. Such critics are poorly educated. I’d refer you to Benjamin Freedman who has mapped out the myriad transgressions. The manifold insurrections of Islam against Christendom is legion in comparison to the few defensive actions of the Christian princes including the ware offensive actions they undertook. Ill informed comments of Barack Obama on the subject are not accepted.
There is hope. For the Jewish (Talmudic), Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, etc., neighbor of completely pleasant demeanor I would posit to you they truly present that small “c” catholicity dormant or active in any man reflective of those aspects found in Natural Law (i.e. find “universality”) and are eminently redeemable. Pray that they come into the fullness of Grace. Recognize a difference from their putrid ideologies and theologies (as they are thankfully generally repressed) vs. the everyday face of the agreeable neighbor remaining ignorant of their heritage and stated faith. Keep it that way…that is our best hope for now.
The interfaith Council is false ecumenism. Sebastopol is a moral trap, a cesspool of a race to the bottom on the critical thinking ladder that comports to the liberal agenda. I have to hold my nose as a I pass through.
