Talent success
Editor: The Winner of the $100 first prize at Windsor’s Got Talent was the hoop dance done by Annya Jacobs.
It was a mesmerizing act of art with glow in the dark hoops and beautiful music … the audience was completely still in the darkness … entranced.
2nd place ($50) was Ethan Scott who did beat box. He called himself “Exacto” he was funny. Third place ($25) was a guitar/piano/vocal duet by two middle school girls Natalie Terhurne & Juillain Hayton. There were other excellent acts … I don’t envy the judges. It was really hard to do. Thanks to Linda Kelly our town manager, Tina Castelli our farmers Market Manager, Chrissy Tarantino a local teacher, and Beth Henry a resident actress.
I consider everyone of the participants a winner because they came together young and old to support the arts in our town and to enjoy each other’s skills. Center Stage Kids Theatre came just to perform/serve and didn’t want to be considered for the prize money. I’ve attached a picture of the Bill Geist Drummers…they were wonderful and it was hard to stay in your seat. The juggler, Jordan Daniels, can often be found on the green or at the park by the Windsor Rec. Center. His act was hypnotic..great music, great skill. So many wonderful and different dancers. Austin’s poem was sweet and nostalgic the young singers sang with such heart… I am so grateful for their contributions.. AND we reached our goal. We have enough money to pay the license and royalty fees of one show for one school. That was our initial goal.. So God Bless Windsor!
