Abandoned homes
Editor: The recent news about deaths in abandoned homes in Windsor and Petaluma prompted me to comment on the apathy and inaction of the Town of Windsor’s leadership and code enforcement. There has been an abandoned home on Alden Lane for over four years. Neighbors and I have contacted our city councilpersons and code enforcement but they will do nothing to help us resolve this. Some of our neighborhoods are becoming illegal trailer parks with autobody workshops and welding operations in the backyards. Code enforcement and our city council seem to be OK with this. I hope this recent tragic death will cause our Windsor leadership to do something about our vacant home and code enforcement issues.
