Congrats to Big John’s
Editor: On behalf of the Healdsburg Animal Shelter, I would like
to extend our sincerest congratulations to Kim and John Lloyd on
the 15th anniversary of Big John’s Market. The Lloyds are
invaluable to the volunteer and non-profit efforts in Healdsburg
and truly demonstrate what ‘community involvement’ means at the
highest level possible.
As Vice President of the Healdsburg Animal Shelter Board of
Directors, Kim Lloyd gives and gives and gives to each and every
one of our causes as well as contributing significant professional
acumen as a board member. Regardless of the question or the event,
the answer from Kim is always “yes.” At HAS’s annual fundraiser,
the Lloyds are always at the top of the list in donating to the
event and purchasing auction items.
It is not difficult to see that this generosity extends beyond
the shelter to their participation throughout the community. I
would not dare to try to list all the causes to which they
generously donate, nor the other boards they sit on, but who could
miss Big John’s Market among the top purchasers of the students’
animals and projects at the Future Farmers Fair Auction year after
year after year? How many of us carried tote bags in our cars
before Big John’s Market took a courageous stand for the
environment?
Healdsburg is truly fortunate to have the Lloyds as our
neighbors. Best wishes for continued success to Kim and John!

Gratitude to Gellura
Editor: I feel that any story about the Raven Players needs to
acknowledge Joe Gellura. He has been involved from the very
beginning, and his vision and talents as Artistic Director have
contributed immensely to the growth and development of the
company.
Those of us who love good theater and are delighted to have such
great performances here in Healdsburg, owe him our gratitude.
