Donate to 8th grade Promotion
Editor: Our Washington Middle School 8th graders are kicking into high gear to raise money for their end-of-year Promotion Events. They have planned a Dance after their Ceremony, as well as a Day-Away for some fun together time. We are hoping our community’s generosity will assist them in reaching their goals!
Planned activities to help raise funds include:
• Citrus Fair Parking – Thank you for your support, it was a great success!
• See’s Easter Candy Sale – The kids did a wonderful job. Another sweet venture!
• Pancake Breakfast at Washington School – April 16, 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tickets available.
How can you help support our 8th Graders?
• We would love to have you attend the Pancake Breakfast. Great food and lots of friends.
• Volunteer to help at any of the above activities.
• Donations of treats / snacks / drinks for the Day-Away and Dance.
• Attend our Bi-Monthly Promotion Meetings. Next meeting Wednesday, March 30, 6:30 p.m. at Washington School, room 16.
• Cash donations are always appreciated! Checks to: Washington School 8th Grade Promotion.
We really wish to make this a memorable occasion for our 8th graders saying goodbye to Washington School. It’s been a wonderful ride.
Please contact Joanne Collard 707-894-6214 with questions and participation. We welcome new and exciting ideas as well! Thanks so much!

Wine Library seeking members
Editor: Would you have a few hours a month to volunteer on the Friends of the Sonoma County Wine Library board? The Wine Library is located inside Healdsburg Library and Jon Haupt is branch manager and Wine Librarian currently. There is a treasure trove of wine research data, resources and archives just waiting to be discovered but we need help from the community. We are in need of some additional members in the following areas: hospitality, events, photographer/recorder, sending information to the press and calendars for events, treasurer.
We recently adopted a one year Associate Board position so if you are interested please contact me at
ju***@pe*********.com
. The board meets once a month at the Library from 6 p.m. to 7:30 pm on Wednesdays. We have many exciting possibilities in the next year and would like to have you join us.
