Teaming with fish
Editor: With the big rain of last week flooding a lot of businesses on the north end of Healdsburg Avenue, I thought this clip from the Sonoma County Tribune might have some interest. This slough was at the foot of Piper Street where the Rite-Aid shopping center is now. Healdsburg Avenue used to called West Street.

Foss Slough Teaming with Fish
Since the recent heavy rainstorm, all the streams tributary to Russian River are teaming with trout and other fish. Even the slough, back of West Street, has hundreds of the “finny” thriving.
