Gateway value
Editor: Gateway To College at Santa Rosa Junior College is an extremely beneficial program, and I would recommend it to anyone who is between 16 and 20 years old and is deficient in credits for high school. This program has helped me in many ways which are hard to explain in words. I used to be a student who did none of my work, and, because of that, I got almost only Fs in high school. Now that I’m in GtC, I’m getting A’s in my classes, and I’m doing all of my work.
Since you are technically in college, you are treated like a college student, and the higher expectations help motivate me. The staff members give you as much support as you need in any aspect related to school, and this program has a sense of community that most high schools don’t have. The classes are relatively small, 25 kids at most, which really helps you form meaningful bonds and rapport with your instructors and peers. The program also attempts to form a sense of community with the rest of the campus and even in the larger community.
