CHS ‘Round Up’ set for Aug. 8
Editor: After a restful summer, I am truly excited to begin the year here at Cloverdale High School. We have many exciting changes on campus – from starting new classes to renovating the shop building. My colleagues and I look forward to continuing our constant pursuit of academic excellence. I know your students are older, but please don’t hesitate to get involved. One of the great things about Cloverdale is the fanstastic community and volunteer support.
The “CHS Round Up” will be held at the East Gym on Aug. 8, 2016. Freshman and seniors should come at 8 a.m., sophomores at 10 a.m. and juniors at 10:30 a.m.
This is a wonderful chance for students to take care of important details for the coming school year, pick up their schedule, sign up for clubs, order yearbooks, buy PE clothes and get their locker assignment. This event will give students and parents the opportunity to take care of some important business for the upcoming year. If you miss Round Up, schedules will be available in the office at 7:30 a.m. the first day of school.
This event is especially important for seniors and freshmen. The seniors have planned some games and activities to get to know the new freshmen and a tour around campus. Please make sure that all freshmen and seniors are here promptly at 8 a.m.
Back to School Night will be held on Aug. 30, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. The entire community is invited to come and see the school. A wood-fired pizza oven will be here selling delicious pizzas, so come hungry. Teachers will be on hand, and it is the perfect time to meet or reconnect with them.
Parents, we need your current email address. The fastest, easiest way for us to communicate is via email. We value your involvement and want to make sure you know what is happening on campus. Please be sure to complete the email section on the registration form so we can add you to our email list.
Please join PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association). Your membership will allow the students at CHS to have a few extras such as guest speakers, activities and a opportunity to apply for PTSA scholarships. The membership fee is $7.
Check out our Cloverdale Unified School District website. Find useful information including the faculty list, school policies, calendar of events, school forms and more. Our website is www.cusd.org. All CUSD schools are located on this site.
I am looking forward to a wonderful year, please email me at sa****@cu**.org or call the office at 894-1900 if you have any questions or want to get involved.
