Editor: Wednesday, Sept. 13 marks the fifth anniversary of the
ground breaking for Windsor¹s Town Gree Village. It is only through
the combined efforts of the Town Council, Town Staff, our design
professionals, consultants, lenders, subcontractors and their
employees that we have been able to create an award-winning
village.
My sincere gratitude and appreciation goes out to all of you who
have helped fulfill the vision of our pedestrian oriented downtown
community. The homeowners and shopkeeperrs living and working in
Town Green Village have taken the risk of sharing in Sonoma
County¹s new beginnings.
I encourage the Town Council and staff to continue the forward
thinking and commitment that has allowed the transformation of Old
Downtown in these short five years. The greatest challenge is to
the residents of Windsor to support the shops, restaurants and
professional offices in your community. The continued success and
growth of Town Green Village is in the hands of you and your
neighbors. Your choice to shop and dine locally is essential.
Many thanks to my staff, who have spent long days performing the
thankless tasks required to construct the North Bay¹s most unique
urban village.
