Letter: Sonoma County Whackoism

Editor: The madrases (public schools and universities) of
California have taught the children to hate all free enterprise and
to believe in the religion of Environmental Whackoism. After
Gorbachev gave up on Communist Russia, he set about forming a
global environmental movement (The Green Cross). He believes that
with the help of useful idiots graduating from most schools these
days, Environmentalism can achieve what Communism could not.
Namely, World Socialism ‹ with all control in the hands of
government.
We see the worst examples here in Sonoma County. The Whackos
have pretty much taken over the county. Every year more and more
regulations are dumped on the backs of business owners, especially
farmers. In the name of the alleged environmental problems, we have
hundreds of new regulations every year, enforced by government
bureaucrats. There are heavy new fines and threats of jail time for
infractions. God help you if you are late with a monthly pesticide
report.
The latest General Plan proposes to take thousands of acres away
from private property owners to achieve fish friendly farming.
There seems to be no end of new assaults on private property
rights. It has nothing to do with fish, it¹s about the power.
We are headed for a totalitarian state dedicated to the utopian
ideals that failed so miserably in the last century. Before that
happens though, hundreds of vineyards will be abandoned and small
businesses will have left the county and the Whackos will be
complaining that George Bush ruined the economy.
