Letter: Money needed for music

An open letter to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, State Senator

Evans, State Assembly Representative Joseph Nation:
My name is Joella Olsen and I volunteer my time for music in
Windsor public schools. Windsor is elated to hear the news of
additional state money for music, art and PE. Thank you for funding
these important aspects of education. Help! School started in
Windsor on August 16. Classes have been in session for three weeks.
We need the money now in order to get our music programs off the
ground.
Please! If there is anything that you can do to get this
important money flowing to the individual school districts it would
be greatly appreciated. At the rate we are going, we will
completely waste the entire first semester of music instruction for
lack of musical instruments. That would be a terrible shame for our
students, for our schools, and for our state. Thank you for all
your efforts.
