Letter: Kiwanis deserves credit

Editor: In reference to your article last week regarding the
Relay for Life, although the Windsor Fire Department received
thanks, there was no mention of the Kiwanis providing the breakfast
on Sunday morning for the participants. The Kiwanians that put on
the breakfast are all unpaid volunteers and not always spring
chickens (including my husband and many others who were there by 6
a.m. and earlier to help). This includes shopping, setting up,
cooking, serving and cleaning up and is always willingly and
cheerfully done by this group without hesitation.
I think the Kiwanis deserves a round of applause and some
recognition for their efforts as well in supporting the Relay for
Life on an unseasonably hot weekend.
