The United Farm Workers of America AFL-CIO will sponsor a march
on Sunday, Oct. 24 at 11 a.m. in Santa Rosa to support a federal
bill that will allow undocumented farmworkers earn the permanent
legal right to stay in this country by continuing to work in
agriculture. The march will start at Santa Rosa High School, 1235
Mendocino Ave., and proceed to Julliard Park. The proposed law,
known as the Agricultural Job Opportunity, Benefits and Security
Act, would revise the current agricultural guest worker program.
