Lee Allen Herfurth died peacefully on Jan. 31, 2008 at his home
in Windsor. Lee was born June 27, 1956 to William and Alberta
Herfurth in Oakland, Calif. Lee graduated from St. Francis High
School in Mountain View in 1975. He will be remembered for his gift
of compassion and his ability to listen to others. He was greatly
loved, touched many lives and will be greatly missed. One of his
greatest pastimes was fishing on the Feather River near Lake
Almanor, where the Herfurth family has enjoyed many of their spring
and summer vacations. Continuing to honor his life are his mother,
Alberta Herfurth of Chico; sisters Susan Schramm and Sandy
Shaughnessy; brother, Douglas Herfurth and wife Gaylen; Uncle Chet
and Aunt Chris Piepenburg; nieces and nephews: Mathew and Sara
Shaughnessy, Cassandra Rice, Paige and Dustin Herfurth, Kelly, Gabe
and Andrew Schramm. Lee was preceded in death by his father,
William Herfurth. The family will hold a private service for Lee at
Lake Almanor. Condolences may be sent to the Herfurth family c/o
