Laura Ann Barron passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 9, 2007, while
recovering from an illness. She was surrounded by her family and
friends. Laura was the daughter of Frank and Wilma Stunden, big
sister Debbie Gibson, and devoted wife for 39 years to David
Barron. Laura was the best mom to Trent Barron and his wife Jeri,
of Windsor, the best mama and best friend to Jill Barron and fiance
Timothy Lane of Sebastopol; the adored Nana to Madison Barron,
Jasper Lane and Aminata; loving aunt of Andrea Gibson, John Barron,
Brad Barron and Stacia Barron and their families. Laura was also
thought of as a second mom to many others. She will be remembered
for her beautiful smile, her sense of humor, her loving nature and
open arms. Laura worked as a special education teacher’s assistant
for the Piner-Olivet Union School District for 25 years. Laura was
liked by all and loved her job. She touched all of her students’
hearts. Laura met some of her dearest friends there, who she
endearingly called her “peeps.” Laura was an avid reader and
excellent seamstress, she also enjoyed knitting and baking; but
what Laura enjoyed most was expressing her love to her family with
a delicious home cooked meal and lots of laughter. She will be
missed greatly by all those who knew her. Friends were invited to
attend a Celebration of Laura’s Life on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007 at
12:00 p.m. at Daniels Chapel of the Roses, 1225 Sonoma Ave, Santa
Rosa. In honor of Laura please wear bright and cheerful colors. If
desired donations in her memory may be made to the Redwood Empire
Food Bank.
