On Feb. 1, 2008, this world lost a great son, husband, brother
and friend. Born March 24, 1973 at Sacred Heart in Eugene, Oregon.
Lance leaves behind wife Margie, their son Lance Michael Jr., his
mother Dotty Randall Stapleton, stepfather Jim Stapleton, brother
Jeff Randall, sister Kelly OBrien and their families, stepchildren
Tiffinie, Jacob, Ricky and Alyssa, as well as Grandma Emmons,
aunts, uncles and cousins. He had an abundance of friends, fans and
co-workers from his 18 years as a manager at TMS Call Center. Lance
attended elementary school in Florence, Kentucky and Eugene,
Oregon. In 1985, the family moved to Healdsburg, California where
he graduated from high school. Roseburg has been his home since
1994. Lance met his life’s love Margie in the spring of 2006. A few
short months later on Aug. 26, 2006, they were united in marriage.
On July 18, 2007 Lance Jr. was born, giving Lance the opportunity
to be the father he always dreamed about. The last six months have
been the happiest of his life.
An adoring husband, loving father, affectionate son and
dedicated brother was taken from us too soon. He loved his family,
golf, fishing and especially music. He had many fans that followed
his singing and songwriting through his two bands, Phaded and
B.O.K. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Feb. 9 at 2
p.m., at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in the Community Building.
Come share his music and memory. Lance’s compassion and love for
life will always be remembered and cherished. In lieu of flowers,
contributions can be sent to: The Lance Emmons Scholarship Fund for
a deserving musical student. Mail to The LESF, c/o TMS 435 NE
Casper, Roseburg, OR 97470.
