The Laguna de Santa Rosa Foundation will host its second annual
Arts and Garden Gala on Sunday, Sept. 11 from 3 to 6 p.m. Proceeds
from the event will benefit the foundation’s work to create
thriving wildlife habitat with trails and a learning center in the
Laguna. The gala will be held at the Vine Hill House north of
Sebastopol and will feature strolling entertainers, fine food and
wines, and desserts by Zix and La Dolce V chocolatier. The event’s
centerpiece will be a silent auction of original artworks on the
theme of the Laguna. Tickets are $75 and can be reserved by calling

Redwood Empire Bonsai Show
Admission is completely free to th 22nd annual Bonsai Show
sponsored by the Redwood Empire Bonsai Society on Saturday and
Sunday, Aug. 27 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and 28 (10 a.m to 4 p.m.) at
the Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial Building. There will be
demonstrations, sales, door prizes and free refreshments.
