Analy opens up at home against #12 Miramonte
The Analy Lady Tigers should be battle-tested and ready this week when they kick off the North Coast Section Division 3 softball tournament as the #5 seed.
Analy is coming off a disappointing showing in the Sonoma County League playoff tourney last week, falling 14-2 to Sonoma Valley in the opening round on May 16.
At press time the Lady Tigers were preparing for a first-round NCS clash with visiting 12th seeded Miramonte on May 23 (5 p.m.), with the survivor advancing to play at #4 seeded Sonoma Valley on either May 25 or 26 .

The list of NCS Division-3 playoff teams in seeding order is: Marin Catholic, Moreau Catholic, Eureka, Sonoma Valley, Analy, Terra Linda, Pinole Valley, Encinal, Campolindo, Piner, Acalanes and Miramonte.
Tigers fall in SCL playoffs
The Tigers represented the third seed in the Sonoma County League Playoff Tournament last week, squaring off against #2 ranked Sonoma Valley on May 16. The Dragons, which had defeated Analy twice in the regular season, made it a hat-trick with a stunning rout in the playoff opener.
Sonoma was in attack mode from the opening pitch, exploding for seven runs in the first two frames and adding on each inning en route to a 14-2 romp in five.
Kennedy Midgley (5 IP, 6 hits, 2 ERs, 3 Ks) notched the win for the Dragons while Carson Rasmussen (1.1IP, 5 hits, 5 ERs, K) took the loss for the Tigers. Also seeing mound action for Analy was JV call-up Olivia Franceschi (3.2 IP, 6 hits, 6 ERs). Hitting safely for the Tigers were Gianna Bianchi (2 for 3, run), Makayla Kraemer (2 for 3), Leah Lawrence (1 for 2, 3B, run) and Samantha Caughie (1 for 2, 3B, RBI). Chloe Hadrich also drove in a run for Analy.
Regular season champion Petaluma went on to beat Sonoma in the playoff title game on May 17, 11-1.
