The Lady Lions and Tigers wrapped a successful 2018-19 basketball season this week, falling to first round foes in their respective North Coast Section tournaments.
Analy (17-11) represented the No. 6 seed in the 14-team NCS Division 3 tourney, suffering a first round knockout at the hands of visiting No. 11 Moreau Catholic on Feb. 12, 52-41.
The Tigers will graduate veterans Isabel Housman (7.4 points, 7.1 rebounds per game), Sierra Atkins (8.2 PPG), Lucia Jameau (5.8 PPG), Aleah Armstrong (3.9 PPG) and Mihn-Tam Le (3.8 PPG) but expect to return five varsity players next season.Â
Lions tamed by Wildcats
El Molino (13-14) finished up its best season in years as the No. 14 seed in the 15-team Division 4 tournament, falling in a road clash at No. 3 Marin Catholic on Feb. 13, 66-21. Â
Sophomore Angelina Gonnella paced the Lions with eight points, while star freshman Ellie Roan added five.
Playing their final high school games for the Lions were seniors Grace Anderson Jordan Rodgers and Janessa Osorio.
