Windsor beats Carrillo, falls to Montgomery, Cardinal Newman

The Lady Jaguars navigated their toughest stretch of the North Bay League schedule last week, scoring one win in three outings against a couple of the league’s best teams.
Windsor (8-8, 2-4) opened the string in dominant fashion in a 68-26 rout at Maria Carrillo, but finished up with successive home losses to Montgomery (52-36) and Cardinal Newman (61-28).
“It was a tough week for the Lady Jaguars,” reported Windsor coach Joe Passalacqua. “Lack of focus and some missed assignments on defense against Montgomery hurt us. Cardinal Newman was simply the better team.”
The ladies will resume league play this week with scheduled home and away dates against visiting Ukiah (Jan. 17) and Casa Grande (Jan. 19). Windsor will visit Santa Rosa next Tuesday, Jan. 23. Tip off times for the JV and varsity are 5 and 7:30 p.m.
