Straight shooters – The Windsor High School girls golf team will tee it up in the newly aligned Redwood Division of the North Bay League this week.

Windsor will compete in NBL Redwood Division
The fall season signals the start of the North Bay League girls golf campaign for some two dozen Windsor High School players, eager and ready to hit the links in the newly configured Redwood Division.
The division, which also includes Cardinal Newman, El Molino, Healdsburg, Montgomery and Piner, tees off for the first time on Wednesday, Sept. 12 (after press time) when Windsor visits Healdsburg at Tayman Park, followed by a date with Cardinal Newman this Friday, Sept. 14 at Foutaingrove Golf Club in Santa Rosa.
With head coach Danielle Buckman out on maternity leave, the Jaguars will play under the watchful eyes of assistant coaches Joe Stadum and John Richards, who have liked what they’ve seen from the team so far.
“Senior Katie Mullins and junior Lauren Runft are our top returning players and sophomore Alana Stadum and freshman Roisin Averill are two of the top additions to the team,” Stadum reported. “We have 15 young ladies out and have played two matches so far.”
Mullins is currently holding down the #1 spot on the team, firing a 54 in a practice round at Oakmont West Golf Club last week.
As in past years, all home matches will be contested at Windsor Golf Club.
