The Lady Jaguars weathered a brutal stretch in the North Bay League soccer schedule, falling to perennial powers Montgomery (6-0) and Maria Carrillo (4-0).
The setbacks pushed Windsor’s season record to 5-5-2 and 2-4 in the NBL.
Beset by key injuries, the Jags have gone with a relatively young line-up in recent weeks, a baptism by fire for several underclassmen.
“We have some players with limited varsity experience who had to step up and play against two very strong teams,” WHS coach Mark Archambault said, citing  goalie Briana Davis and Makenzie Hernandez with great efforts against Montgomery and Carrillo. “We’re working hard and we are improving and looking forward to the second half of the season.”
The ladies will be back in action on Jan. 17 (after press time) at Ukiah, followed by a Saturday, Jan. 20 home date with Cardinal Newman (2 p.m.).
